SUCCESSFUL TRIAL OF RIZHAO STEEL HOLDING GROUP’S FLATTENING AND STRAIGHTENING LINE

        On 11th March 2019, 11.40pm local time, the successful trial of the continuous flattening and straightening project has been announced by RIZHAO STEEL HOLDING GROUP just after down coiling of the very first coil which has been processed at the new continuous flattening and straightening line.

        The project is designed and integrated by Primetals; its overall equipment is at a domestically leading and world-class level. Being an extension of the ESP production line, the flattening and straightening line breaks through the traditional design concept of flattening lines, as it can process high strength steel products with a maximum strength of 980 MPa, eliminate the yield phenomenon, improve the strip shape and thereby obtain a higher dimensional accuracy and surface quality.

        This project is of important strategic significance for breaking through the grade of strength of existing cold rolled products, enriching the company's product structure, and increasing the proportion of Rizhao Steel’s high-end flat steel products. The new products have a broad market prospect in the fields of automobile manufacturing, general electrical appliances, civil construction, door industry, packaging and other industries.
